Wealth management veteran Adrian Laycock has joined specialist recruitment boutique, the Somers Partnership, as partner and executive search consultant.
Mr Laycock was previously head of UK onshore wealth management at BNP Paribas. Prior to this he spent 6 years as an executive director and client advisor at UBS.
The Somers Partnership is exclusively focused on the wealth management sector and only acts for clients on a retained basis. Mark Somers, partner and founder of the firm, told thewealthnet that Mr Laycock’s track record helps increase the firm’s offering and adds an element that other recruitment firms were unable to provide.
“Adrian is a highly experienced senior wealth manager,” he said. “He understands the business and the products it offers. This reinforces the credibility of our offering, which is unique in the marketplace. With Adrian’s additional expertise, we offer so much more to our clients.”
The firm has placed 29 professionals over the last 18 months in the UK and overseas within family offices, ultra high net worth and high net worth sectors as well as investment management firms.
Mr Laycock added that he and Mr Somers personally undertake the work involved in the recruitment of individuals once a client has been gained, as a demonstration of the quality of service offered and commitment of the firm, both of which are regarded as paramount.
Of course they are supported by other members of the team, particularly in the additional areas that they believe add value to their recruitment proposition, such as the carrying out of third party reference checks and psychometric testing.
